Ryan White Services
It’s important to plan to be careful in our intimate lives, but it’s also important to be prepared in the event an accident happens. HIV prevention doesn’t have to be out of reach. G.A. Carmichael Family Health Center is dedicated to supporting the community, especially those who are underserved, underinsured, or uninsured, regardless of their ability to pay for their services. For this reason, we are proud to offer programs like the Ryan White HIV Part C Early Intervention Service Program and free rapid HIV tests.
For your convenience, we are happy to offer all services to you and your loved ones in both English and Spanish.
Free Rapid HIV Tests in Central Mississippi
G.A. Carmichael is dedicated to serving the men and women of Central Mississippi. For those who believe they have been exposed to HIV, we offer free rapid testing at each of our locations. These rapid tests are FDA-approved antigen or antibody tests.
To perform these rapid tests, a small sample of blood from a finger prick or a swab or your mouth will be collected. The test will then detect antibodies and antigens found in your fluids to determine whether you have contracted HIV. The test typically takes about 30 minutes to produce results. In the event you have a positive test, we will likely recommend taking a second test to confirm your exposure.
If you find you have contracted HIV, G.A. Carmichael Family Health Center has your back. We offer early intervention services to men and women in Central Mississippi to prevent the worsening or spread of the virus.
